The city of Pittsfield Massachusetts is calling for submissions for a juried art show called "Islam Contemporary". The deadline for submissions is 28 June , and artists will be informed by 12 July.

The city's Office of Cultural Development will be oening the show on Friday, 2 August, and it will continues through 29 August.

The show will explore Islamic cultures, history, faith, and day-to-day life through contemporary art.

A curated series of performances, film screenings, readings and artist talks is also being planned as a companion to the exhibit.

The exhibition and events will be held in Pittsfield's Upstreet Cultural District at two locations: the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts and Whitney Center for the Arts. Over 500,000 people are expected to attend.
