A Muslim organization has been refused access to a communal meeting hall in Bülach in the Swiss canton of Zurich.
The Islamic Central Council of Switzerland was meant to be holding a conference there but the communal government disallowed the hire of the hall to the organistion.
The executive claims the Islamic Central Council of Switzerland is a religious extremist group.
Various speakers from around the world were expected to attend the conference, called "
Islam Unity 2012", on February 25.
Some 1,800 had people signed up for the event.
The organisation says it will challenge the communal government's ruling.
