The inaugural ceremony will be held under the auspices of Sheikh Salem bin Ufeet al Shanfari, chairman of Dhofar Municipality, in the presence of delegates and members of the bank management.
The opening of the Salalah branch - at the Salalah Gardens Commercial Complex - comes as part of Al Hilal Islamic Banking commitment to be close to its customers all across the sultanate, and to live with the tenets of Islamic discipline, a press release said. The new branch will be a value addition to the existing five branches.
"The opening of this branch mirrors Ahlibank's commitment to provide its customers with Sharia-compliant banking products that meet the needs of the customers across the length and breadth of the sultanate. We should bear in mind that al Hilal Islamic Banking has been launched after long years of experience in providing customers with tailor-made solutions that meet their needs," said Abdulaziz al Balushi, CEO of Ahlibank.
"The new branch in Salalah will be of immense value and will add importance to the other five branches too. Al Hilal Islamic Banking provides its customers with Sharia-compliant products that are truthful and transparent", said Abdullah al Jabri, deputy GM and head of Al Hilal Islamic Banking.
