Why is Islamic Union necessary?

In many verses of the Qur’an, Allah commands Muslims to be united, not to fragment, but to be friends and act in concert. Some of these verses read as follows:

Hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate...” (Surah Al ‘Imran, 103)

The believers are brothers, so make peace between your brothers and have fear of Allah so that hopefully you will gain mercy.” (Surat al-Hujurat, 10)

Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not quarrel among yourselves lest you lose heart and your momentum disappear. And be steadfast. Allah is with the steadfast.” (Surat al-Anfal, 46)

Allah loves those who fight in His Way in ranks like well-built walls.” (Surat as-Saff, 4)

If Muslims do not heed Allah’s command, if they do not love one another and have unity and solidarity, then they will not be behaving in line with Allah’s approval and as a result the agreeable order on Earth will be damaged. Allah reveals this as follows in verse 73 of Surat al-Anfal:

Those who disbelieve are the friends and protectors of one another. If you do not act in this way there will be turmoil in the land and great corruption.

When we look at the current state of the Islamic world, this obligation imposed by Allah is quite obviously not being performed. That is why great turmoil and corruption have begun appearing.

In fact, Muslims today are utterly fragmented and innocent Muslim peoples are being left defenseless.

The reason why women, children and the elderly are having to live under oppression in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir, East Turkestan, Moro and a great many other places is that Muslims are badly divided among themselves.

That is also the reason why reports of deaths come in on an almost daily basis from Iraq?

Why our brothers in Kirkuk live in fear of death?

Why our brothers in Crimea are trying to survive in the face of persecution?

Why the blood of Muslims is shed almost every day in Afghanistan?

Why thousands of Muslims in Pakistan have become refugees in their own lands?

Why Bosnian Muslims were recently subjected to ruthless genocide before the eyes of the world?

And why the prisons in many countries are full of Muslims detained solely on account of their beliefs?

Allah states in verses of the Qur’an that He has made believers one another’s guardians, and He commands them to support and watch over one another and forbids them to fall apart and be divided.

So long as Muslims fail to obey this command, these troubles will simply never end.

The turmoil and afflictions being suffered by Muslims in many different parts of the world, and all the horrific and daily bloodshed taking place, can only come to an end with the establishment of Islamic Unity.

Islamic Unity is without a shadow of doubt the only hope of salvation for the Muslims of Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, East Turkestan, Crimea, Kirkuk, Moro, Pathani and Rakhine.

Even if their languages, races and sects are different, Muslims must still put aside their conflicts and disputes in the light of this command of Allah’s and must be united, both as individuals and en masse.

Today is exactly the right time for all the Muslims of the world to come together and obey Allah’s command.

All Muslims of good conscience have a duty to be pioneers in the fulfillment of this obligation, and to strive to be instruments in the immediate establishment of unity and togetherness among Muslims.

It must not be forgotten that we are all directly responsible for everyone who is tortured, martyred or crippled, for every woman, child or elderly person, simply for being Muslims.

Everyone must do all he can to assist the liberation of the wretched and oppressed, must admit his obligations on the subject and must take action without wasting time to rescue his persecuted brothers.

Every believer must reflect on these words of our Prophet’s (saas): "A Muslim is a Muslim's brother. He does not wrong him or abandon him," and everyone must draw the appropriate conclusion from these wise words.

In the same way that we fulfill the religious obligations, in the same way that we pray and fast, so we must realize that Allah also commands unity and we must act without further delay to fulfill that obligation.

In the event that unity is established among Muslims, all oppression, disorder, violence and conflict will come to an end.

Muslims will at once be freed from ruthless persecution and genocide and living in fear on their own lands.

In addition, not just Muslims but the entire world will achieve enlightenment.

Unity will mean salvation for people of all religions, nations and beliefs.

Love, brotherhood, friendship, plenty and abundance will spread across the world.

The world will enjoy a new era of beauty, mankind will enjoy peace, joy and prosperity and a very powerful and deep-rooted civilization will be built.

There is no doubt that the days when women, children and the elderly will be able to live in security and when friendship, love, compassion and affection triumph in every corner of the world are close at hand.

And we as Muslims all have a responsibility to build these days together.
