Washington: The western powers under the leadership of the United States and Zionists are concerned about the Muslims and Islam as their ever-rising political and economic power is raising anxieties for them. This was revealed by an American author and expert.
The US author & Islamic Studies expert, Dr. Kevin Barrett, referred to the recent statements by a top US official. US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has suggested that NATO should target what he calls emerging new threats from “Islamist” militants.
In a speech at Kings College London few days back, Panetta said that the alliance must reinvent itself and act against “Islamic militancy.” Panetta also noted that the new US defense strategy calls for a shift in focus to the Asia-Pacific region.
At the start of January, the Pentagon announced plans to cut defense spending by $487 billion over a decade and to reduce the number of US troops stationed in Europe.
Dr. Kevin Barrett gave his expert opinion in an interview in which he threw light on the issue which is haunting the western powers and Zionists.
While answering the question about how does Washington define Islamist militants, he said that the US is supporting some of the worst and most retrograde Islamic militants in places like Syria while it is pretending to oppose various Islamic militants elsewhere.
He added that the elements that are keeping US bog down in Afghanistan are doing so to protect the heroin business which is about $1.5 trillion per year industry and they need some Islamic militants to excuse their presence there. So it is quite complicated.
He said, “I think overall though, the powers that are concerned about the Islamic Renaissance that is happening today, their concerns that Muslims are winning the demographic race with the Israelis and Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world and Islam has some tenants that do not sit well with the Rothschild bankers and other brokers of power.”
Islam does not allow lending interest which is called ‘riba’, so the entire world banking system, which more and more people are getting understood as a fraud, is absolutely forbidden in Islam.
“So I think there is a real concern with the rise of Islam among western strategists. But they are playing all sorts of power games by supporting some Islamic militants and opposing others,” Barrett said.
He commented on the remarks by Leon Panetta saying that he seems to want NATO to become the world’s policeman. And he is trying to reinvent a role for NATO which really lost its reason for being after the end of the cold war.
He said that today the European countries have cut their military spending down to around two percent of gross national product and the US has been complaining about that but the US is going to have to cut its military spending as well.
“NATO is really obsolete. So Panetta is just trying to make the best out of the bad situation by claiming that NATO will have this sort of global policemen roles all over the world with no focus whatsoever. And I do not think it is going to fly,” Barrett concluded.
