A Muslim may not go to these places. In fact, he is not allowed to have anything to do with them. He is not even allowed, as part of his work, to assist in building these places or to install any utilities in them. Allah says: “Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancor.” [Sûrah al-Mâ’idah: 2]
Also, it is forbidden to mix with members of the opposite sex and to listen and dance to music. What lawful activities could a Muslim possibly engage in while attending such places?
