Dubai: GETEX Spring 2013, one of the Middle East and Asiaâs most popular student recruitment forums expects to attract a record participation as the number of students pursing higher education in the Middle East continues to increase.
Statistics have shown that 95 per cent of female and 80 per cent of male students enrolled in the final year of secondary school in the Middle East apply for admission to higher education institutes. The UAE in particular has one of the highest application participation rates in the world. In 2011 alone, 1,025 out of 3,090 students who travelled to the UK for higher education were Emiratis.
This year, GETEX 2013, which is a forum that allows students and universities to interact with one another, will feature over 2,000 different course options from more than 35 countries, offering students a comprehensive range of programmes to choose from.
GETEX Spring 2013, which marks the 25th edition of the event, is scheduled for April 17 to 19 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre where it will showcase key education interests in General Education, Higher Education, Vocational and Occupational Training, Professional Development, Sports Education, Education Tourism along with Education Resources and Supplies.
