When I hear the Qur'aan or read it, I am not moved by hearing it and my heart is not stirred and does not feel humble, whereas sometimes when I listen to nasheed I am moved deeply. What is the solution?

Is it possible for the name Zaahir to be one of the beautiful names of Allah? We know that the names of Allah are mentioned in the Holy Qur'aan and that there are some that have not been mentioned. What is the reason why not, if the answer is no?

Will a person (a believer) be rewarded if he listens to the Qur'aan without understanding what he is listening to, but he knows that it is Qur'aan? Or will he not be rewarded unless he understands what he is hearing? I hope you could give some evidence from the Qur'aan and saheeh hadeeth.

Soorat al-Nisa’ states that Allah will not accept the Islam of one who commits kufr three times, and will never guide him. Does that include not praying three times, for example?

Is it possible for someone who is twenty-five years old and has only been committed for about two and a half years, and has only memorized three juz’ of the Qur’aan, to seek Islamic knowledge?  What I mean here is seeking knowledge in a methodical manner as explained by our most prominent shaykhs such as Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymeen in his book al-‘Ilm. My aim in acquiring knowledge is first to ward off ignorance from myself, and to worship Allaah with knowledge, then I will try ...

I want to know can memorization of Holy Quran or part of it be made into a condition for marriage as one sister(she is a Hafiz) has put this condition out to me to either memorize Surah al-Baqarah or Surah ale-Imraan and her third option was Hajj after nikah. I can pick either of the three. If I pick one of the first two what bothers me then is I wouldn't be doing it for Allah swt it would be exclusively to gain her hand. Please explain if this is allowed or not.

I am sixteen years old and I have memorised the entire Qur’aan, praise be to Allah, but I want to memorise it with the numbers of its verses. Does the one who memorizes the Qur’aan with the numbers of its verses attain greater virtue than the one who memorises it without memorising the numbers of the verses?

I have a question about this verse: 2:79 Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: This is from Allah, to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. What is it that they used to gain by changing the books after they were revealed? Did they literally sell these changed books to people and make a profit off of them?
