If I am travelling and I pray with the imam in the mosque and offer the prayer in full, should I offer the regular Sunnah prayers or not?

Regarding salah. Suppose the congregation prayer has started in the mosque. I became little late for the prayers. When the Imam goes for the Ruku and we joined the Jamat should we count that rakat as we have not recited surah Al-Fatihah

Why is it Sunnah for us to say ten takbeers in the Eid prayers before reciting al-Faatihah? What is the benefit of that, and why do we do it in these prayers and not in the five obligatory prayers?

I would like to ask what we should do if my brother does not pray, so he is regarded as a kaafir according to sharee’ah; can we eat meat that is slaughtered by him or not?

(this question is being submitted on behalf of my mother) We all understand the importance of prayer and offering the prayers at there prescribed times. My question has to do with when someone is working as a nurse. A nurse who works in the maternity ward works with new babies and women on a continuous basis throughout the night. During some of these checks it is very likely that clothes can become spoiled with either urine, blood and other najas due to the reason that it is a maternity ward ...

I want to make my children keen to pray, because they will pray once then forget about prayer many times. I always advise them and pray to Allah to guide them. How can I encourage them and make them love prayer?

We are a committee working out educational goals for study circles at the intermediate (middle school) level. We have set the following goal: The student should regularly offer regular Sunnah prayers and Witr prayer, or the student should be encouraged to offer the regular Sunnah prayers and Witr prayer. We hope that you can give us your opinion on this goal from a shar‘i point of view, and also from an educational point of view, and whether it is appropriate for this stage.

My sister does not pray. She is eleven years old and I have repeatedly spoken to my mother about encouraging her to pray, but my mother says: You have nothing to do with her; she has a Lord who will call her to account. But the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Teach them (to pray) when they are seven years old and smack them (if they do not pray) when they are ten.” My question now is: Is there anything I should do with regard to this matter?

We live in a western country, and many of the brothers in the mosque dislike the imam, because his khutbahs are too long and he reviles the people. Should we pray behind him or go to the Turkish mosque? There is no third mosque, only these two. Please advise us, may Allah reward you.

There are some young people who deliberately make people who are praying laugh, and distract them by talking. We would like you to tell us some hadeeths on this topic, that will help us to advise them. Is the hadeeth “Whoever makes a praying person laugh has made a thousand angels weep” a saheeh hadeeth?

With regard to the words al-salaatu khayrun min al-nawm (prayer is better than sleep), is it to be said in the first adhaan before Fajr, or in the second adhaan? What is the evidence for saying them? What should the one who hears them say after the muezzin?

The question is regarding part of the awrah becoming uncovered during prayer. The question is if one is in doubt if their awrah became uncovered. If there is this doubt - is the prayer still valid?
